Commodity produced out of nowhere

Dear forum,

I have a FuelTech (FT_TRAMET), that allocates methanol (ALCMET) to the transport sector (TRAMET) with an ACT_EFF of 1. Checking the results, I just realized that this FT is overusing ALCMET to produce TRAMET, but the ALCMET commodity comes out of nowhere, i.e. when I look at the Var_FOut of ALCMET, there is no data to show. Noteworthy, there is no constraint on the use of TRAMET, and there are no dummy imports of ALCMET.

How is that possible that a commodity is not generated by any process but still is used by another process?

Assuming that the commodity in question is properly defined in the first place (and the model solution is feasible without dummy imports), I think that should basically be possible only in the following ways:

  ● By defining the LimType of the commodity either 'UP' or 'N', or
  ● By defining the VAR_COMNET variable with a negative lower bound.
