You could also consider using the ANNUAL timelice level for the demands and the processes producing the demands.  In that way you could avoid the problems stemming from allowing the model to optimize the driving pattern over timeslices, and your model would become smaller in size. But of course, it is up to you to decide whether you want to enable such optimization for the demands or not.
