Synchronising takes too long time
#1
Hello,

I am experiencing pretty long time(around 3-4 hours) while synchronising my files in VEDA. I observed that when the synchronization reaches one of my specific scenario files this happens. Any idea why this is happening? If required I can share the file.

Abi Afthab

Hello Patha Das,

While synchronizing the base year template, scenario files and subRes files of the model, it's taking long time. Especially I can observe that when I make changes to a particular scenario file and then try to synchronize it, it is consuming very long time (3-4 hours). This excel file also has the largest size among all my other files (1.4 MB). Whether this happens usually? I am attaching that particular file here.

Abi Afthab

Hello MohammedAbiAfthab,

From the attached excel workbook it is evident that you are trying to insert lots of entries (6723*2 + 7203*1 + 5283*2), which is reason of long time for syncing.
Please use ~TFM_DINS table instead of ~TFM_INS, which should be faster.
Remember that you cannot use filters inside ~TFM_DINS table and also you have to specify all the required dimensions for specifying an attribute (refer attribute master).

Thanks.
