Hi,
This occurs in a new VEDA (FE&BE) installation (installed yesterday) with Trial Version Licence on a laptop with WINDOWS 10. The version installed is VFE 4.5.2001
When using "SYNC" in VEDA_FE the "FE window" becomes automatically smaller as well as the contents and all fonts in the windows; I would say that everything is reduced to half size.
In the mean time all functions are still working and the model is solving.
Closing and re-starting FE solves the problem until the next click on "SYNC".
Has this behaviour been reported previously?
Any solution to avoid this?
Thanks,
Olivier.
Olivier.

Yes, another user has reported the same behavior last week, but we haven't been able to reproduce it at our end. are you using multiple monitors?

Hi Olivier Dessens,
First of all your VEDA applications version are too old. I recommend that you use the latest version of the installer.
Latest version of VEDA-FE is 4.5.8 and VEDA-BE is 4.9.2001
Please download and update to the latest Version of VEDA applications from here.

Hi Ravinder,
Sorry for wrong information; I mixed up FE and BE versions:
FE is 4.5.803
BE is 4.9.2001
I think they are relatively new versions.
Is the FE 4.5.803 a problem?
Olivier.

Hi Ravinder,
The installation has been done on a laptop of a new member of staff.
She is not at the office at the moment.
Could we do this next week?
Can we also get off the forum and email direct to decide the TeamViewer meeting?
Thanks
Olivier.

I have been having a similar problem over the last few months on my laptop.
I suspect it is something to do with high resolution screens and the display scaling that microsoft does in windows 10 display settings?
Settings > System > Display > Scaling and Layout

I generally have to close Veda and re-open Veda and the scaling issue is resolved temporarily. However it seems quite irregular and can happen when opening model databases, or creating new scenario files also.

I have two monitors on my desktop, and I've never had any issues with VEDA being scaled on them.
It's only ever occurred on my laptop which has a 3200 x 1800 resolution screen and display setting scaled to 250%.

I got the same issue with my new laptop.
I think it may due to a windows feature which adjust the resolution to programs with native lower resolution (see below)
