Veda2.0 Released!

problem with (re)SYNC of previous working models/DB after reinstall of VEDA
#1
dear all,
after re-installing VEDA to update to the latest version (4.5.834), re-SYNC of models that previously worked fine now generates an endless row of errors. Except using the Task Manager, there is no way to close the program. Most common errors numbers are 3265 and 3706.
How can I get my models up ad running again?

Dear Koen,

Can you please share the screenshot of the first error message and also attach log file in this post.

Searching for 3706 on the Forum found the following:

"ADODB.Connection 3706 VEDA-FE: Provider cannot be found. It may not be properly installed."

If it is this error, it looks like it may again be the Access database engine issue, which has been reported many times here.  See for example this earlier thread: https://forum.kanors-emr.org/showthread.php?tid=573

Thanks Antti,

with this Access update import the model works again, but I get a strange error in the QA_LOG file:
*** Active currency but not member of set CUR
*99 FATAL ERROR - R=CEN CUR=CUR

how to get rid of this one?

That means you have a problem in your currency definitions / uses.
Could you show (e.g. by a screenshot) what you have in SysSettings, table ~Currencies?

Ok, it shows that you don't have CUR defined as a currency. Yet, you have defined a Discount rate for the currency CUR, haven't you? At least the error message seems to imply that being the case...

If you look at the listing file, do you see GAMS domain violation warnings, related to CUR?

No I haven't seen domain violations on CUR in the lst file, but I had to re-sync another data file and now the CUR issue does not appear anymore in the QA_CHECK file.
I do have other problems why the model (the latest one from MINEM Peru) doesn't run, but that's for me to find out first.

thanks

Good to know that the CUR issue has vanished.  Smile

However, just in case you see any domain violations in the lst file, note that the more recent GAMS versions have become quite "vulnerable" to those, and so make sure you have no domain violations to be sure GAMS works correctly. (Or at least instruct TIMES to filter them out by enabling DATAGDX.)
