Veda2.0 Released!

A problem when starting running, call for help!!!
#1
After all data imported without errors, I tried to run the model.

About 5 seconds after starting running, a notice came out: "Result Database not created because \BASE.VD Does not exist!"

I hope some senior users can kindly tell me if it means there is something wrong with the model BY template?

Thank you so much for attention and help!!!  Huh Huh Huh

Thanks Amit, I have uploaded the LST file.

look for "USA.2015.UPRBLDBCO.-.ANNUAL 1" in base.DD. the top of this section will show you the parameter which is missing a dimension (showing up as "-" here)

the other problem is that there are some undefined regions showing up in the DD file. Can you consult someone in your group who has run this model before?

Thank you so much Amit! The problem has been solved and the model is running now.

I developed this model, so no one had run this model before.

Another question: if I want to define the maximum of a parameter, what limit type should I use in UC definition? UP or LO?

In a DEMO model in the Documentation 4 (VEDA1), it says the maximum should be LO. I got confused with it. I think the maximum may be UP limit.

Thanks for help and I am waiting for your kind response.

not sure what the confusion is, but:

LO will make LHS >= RHS
and
UP will make LHS <= RHS

OK, I see. I will double check it later.

Hi Amit,

Here is a problem with UC.

I set UC according to DEMO (see attachment) and hope to limit the capacity growth of LPG cars within 1% per year.

But the results show it is increasing much faster than the limit.

Could you please give me some advice?

Thank you!

I think there is too little information at least for me to see what is going on.
Is this some small test model?  If so, and if you can post all the model input files (*.DD, *.RUN, zipped), I can have a look at it, and explain why the constraint does not seem to be working as intended.

I just tested myself with a similar constraint and it worked fully as expected. Shy
