Corporate policy and VEDA installation workarounds?

Dear all

Corporate IT policy restricts the access to my computer, i.e. I will never get admin rights to my computer. 
And the current state of the VEDA installer (e.g. that initiates extra downloads when launched - and initiates extra install of MS Access) does not bode well for the installer to be accepted by my IT-department.

Of course I can install it on my personal computer, but that does not seem a good solution.

Are there any possible way to have a working version of VEDA on my computer, say "installed" as a portable app or something similar? 

Any suggestions is appreciated.

Dear Lars Termansen,

It seems you have very older version of Veda-Installer because latest installer is not initiating any downloads. So please make sure you have latest version of installer.

And MS-Access engine installation is compulsory to work with "xlsx/xlsm/xlsb" files, But you can ignore that installation with VEDA-Installer if your IT dept. has issues with that.
I am providing the direct download link of that. Ask your IT guys to do this installation with their account.

Thanks. My mistake - I see that the newest installer does not download extra files. And we already have MS Access installed.

I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with other installation methods, because I won't be able to get the current program approved through all the appropriate channels.

You can ask your IT guys to install VEDA with their account and give full read/write permissions on VEDA folder to your account.

Kindly ensure that FIRST, an empty VEDA folder is created(by the Administrator) and all permissions are assigned to your windows user via the Administrator account. Then the administrator must install the application on your machine.
