Calculating total production based on capacity in Hydroelectric power plants (HEPPs)

Hi, 
I am modeling HEPPs in the base scenario and I saw deviation between the total production of all HEPPs and the given balance table. 
After checking all reports related to balance table, I realized that this deviation comes from the calculation of Total Production.

For instance, we have a HEPP with the installed capacity of 2.405 GW. Considering the AFA of 0.86 and CAP2ACT (PJ/GW) 31.536, we reach to 2.405*0.86*31.536 = 65 PJ as the total production. However, this dam is producing 32 PJ based on documents. How can we explain these differences?

As far as I can see, the obvious explanation is that your NCAP_AFA value is incorrect. It is extremely high for a hydro power plant, whether a dam-based or run-of-river plant. I think typical annual capacity factors are 0.3–0.6.

Indeed, if you correct your AFA to the value 0.422, you would reach the annual production of 32 PJ.

Thank you very much. I reach to the same conclusion after reading other projects. I got these availability factors from a database. I guess their definition for AFA is different from ours. I will try to find the issue. Thanks again.
