Hey All,
I have a model with 28 regions, with “ELC” trades between them (bi-lateral trade). The ELC exchange between regions is working exactly as it supposed. However, I’m afraid that the trade capacities cannot be increased by the model. There might be some issue that is undermining their expansion.
I have a “trade links” file, which has all possible links between regions, declared under a matrix approach. Also, I have the “Trade_Parameters” file, which has some trade attributes as follows:
~TFM_INS
TimeSlice LimType Attribute Year AllRegions Pset_ Set Pset_ PN Pset_CO Cset_Set Cset_CN
INVCOST 2010 1500 TB* ELC_HV
VAROM 2010 0.45 TB* ELC_HV
LIFE 100 TB*, TU*
COM_IE 2010 0.95 TB* ELC_HV ELC_HV
The Parameters file is also used to declare the stock (by different matrices for every ten years until 2050, as the simplified one below, ), which presents the capacity stock (current existing capacity) that remains under operation until 2050.
~TRADE_Param:Stock~2010
ELC_HV N1 N2
N1 3140
N2 3140
The trade process capacities never grow for any scenario I am running. And, sometimes, Veda can only find a solution whether I set an infinite stock for some specifics trade processes, otherwise it wouldn’t find a solution. Therefore, if Veda were to increase these trades installed capacities (IRE capacity) it would be certainly enough to find a solution in those cases.
Any suggestion? Should I somehow declare these trades processes through a Subres file?
Thanks!
