Problem with running elastic demand
#1
Hi!

When I want to run an elastic demand, it seems that the model does not respond to price change. I checked COM_BPRICE in GAMS and I saw that the file does not contain the base price, would you please help me with that? Thanks.

Running elastic demands basically involves two steps:
1. To write the base prices from the Ref run. You must select "write base price" on the Case manager control panel to do this.
2. Select the Ref scenario for Base price on the case manager when running the policy scenario.

pl outline the steps that you followed.

Thank you. My problem was something else, the definition of shadow prices had timeslice definition (48 in our model) while the commodity out had annual resolution, so the model could not match them. I found it by checking COM_BPRICE.
