Bound on sum output
#1
Hi,

I modeled a CHP system (with coal as input and combined heat and electricity as output) and a single-coal-generation system (with coal as input and electricity as output). How should I set an upper bound on the total electricity output from both systems?

Best,
Xiao

With a simple user constraint you could easily define a bound either for the output on the ANNUAL level, or for the power level on DAYNITE level (using the timeslice-dynamic feature). Just add the flows on the LHS side and the upper bound on the RHS side. However, if by any chance these two happen to represent in reality a single plant with a flexible output ratio (a pass-out turbine in condensing mode and CHP mode) the easiest way would be to model it as a pass-out CHP technology in the first place.
