I am currently developing model for the power sector from scratch, utilizing Manuals 2 and 4. I would appreciate your assistance with the following issues:
Query 1(IMP/EXP Sheet)
I have added an interconnector with an availability factor for 2018. However, the results display the same values up to 2050. How can I interpolate and extrapolate different values for different years?
Future New Interconnectors I have defined the capacity and price in the SubRes new tech file for future interconnectors. Despite this, the model output shows only the price, without the output of the interconnectors.
Query 2: How can I resolve this issue to ensure that the interconnectors' outputs are accurately reflected in the model?
New Power Plants in SubRes File I have listed new power plants (including on-shore wind, off-shore wind, solar, hydrogen, gas with CCS, and biomass with CCS) in the SubRes file. However, the model only selects one power plant to meet the demand.
Query 3: What mistake might I be making that prevents the model from considering multiple options? How can I ensure that the model includes multiple power plants to meet the demand? I attempted using CAPBND by creating a SUPPXLS scenario file, but it did not yield the desired results.
Exporting Surplus Renewable Energy
Query 4: How can I define that extra renewable energy should be exported within the interconnectors' capacity when there is a surplus, stored in storage, or used to produce hydrogen from surplus energy?
Hydrogen as New Technology I have added hydrogen as a new technology in the model, covering all steps (production, liquefaction, delivery, storage). The list of new tech power plants and hydrogen processes is shown in VAR_NcapM in results.
Query 5: How can I ensure that the new hydrogen technologies are correctly integrated into the model?

- The power sector's demand is known, and I have applied population growth for forecasting.
- I have added new renewable power plants to the system in the SubRes folder.
- I am also experiencing difficulties defining user constraints.
