GDX diff fails to find GAMS in VEDA

Dear all,

I wanted to use the Gdx Diff directly from within VEDA, but I ran into the following error : "Error processing File @D:\VEDA\Veda\GAMS_WrkTIMES\diff_*_041724_113158501.gdx - Could not find a valid GAMS system directory automatically. Either specify a valid system directory by passing it to the GAMSWorkspace constructor or run findthisgams.exe in the GAMS system directory you want to use" (see capture attached).

The GAMS folder is already in the PATH variable (and it works fine when I want to run a model, I don't have any message that tells me it does not work).

Does someone know what could be the problem here ?

I am working with Veda version 3.0.7.0, and GAMS 29.1.

Could you please share the log file with us?

To find the latest log file, navigate to the Help menu and select the "Error Log" option to access the logs folder directly.

Hello everyone,

To keep you informed about the resolution of the problem, that Ravinder and Rahul managed to solve.

It turned out that I had not installed GAMS properly, but had copied the GAMS folder on the computer with the license. Hence the GDX Diff functionnality could not run properly on VEDA.

Typing "gams" in the command prompt seemed to show that GAMS was installed. But trying to uninstall it, GAMS did not appear in the list of applications in the configuration pannel. In the end, we deleted the existing GAMS repository and installed GAMS in a proper way by downloading and running the executable file.
