Hi~ I am trying to using Veda2.0 version 1.205.1.1. I installed the program using the Setup file. When I open veda 2.0 the first time. it says "We are not able to establish database connection". Then I tried to import the DemoS_012, it says "Exception while connecting". Seems that I did not install the program properly or I did not install some required software?

Can you check and confirm PostgreSql 10 is installed on your machine.
Go to Control Panel -> Programs and features and then find PostgreSql 10.
Hi Ravinder, the PostgreSQL 10 is installed, BTW my operation system is windows server 2019.
You can also check the Veda-db service is running in the services Tab.
Open Task Manager and then select Services Tab where you can find Veda-db service, check the status of the service.
Please share the log files with us. You can find log files under this Veda\Veda2.0\logs\ location.
Yes, the status of Veda-db service is “stoped”,When I try to start the service it tells me that "the system can not find the file". the logs file is attached.

Dear Suxin,
Can you try to run the Veda-db service at your machine.
You need to give permission to run Veda-db service on Windows Server 2019.
The Veda-db service is used to make connections between the database and the application.
Veda-db service is turned off in your machine, so Veda2.0 will not work in this case.

Dear Ravinder, Could you please be more detailed? I tried to run it in Services Tab, but errors happened, the system says"can not start this service, the system could not find the file specified". how could I give permission to it, I have the administrator privileges. I installed and run the program as administrator, the same error happend.

Dear Suxin,
After the meeting we found that this problem was with PostgreSQL version 10 which only works with the following Windows platforms
2016, 2012 R2 and R1, 7, 8, 10 according to their installation guidelines at the link below. https://www.postgresql.org/download/windows/
Hi Ravinder,
I'm writing as I am having a similar problem as the one described above. I have checked the steps that you describe above and PostgreSQL 10 is installed, the Veda-db service is stopped. Starting manually does not work as it simply stops again.
Note that this is a new issue, the system worked fine yesterday and is now running into this problem.
Could you detail the steps required to give the permissions required - though since things were working fine yesterday I am not sure what could have caused these permissions to be altered.
Any other pointers welcome - I urgently need to get this working again.

Dear Oliver,
Boot in Safe Mode and see if the Veda-db Service is starting. Many times, non-Microsoft services or Drivers can interfere with the proper functioning of System Services.
If you are available tomorrow we can also have a web meeting with you to resolve the issue.
