To run VEDA-FE and VEDA-BE, you will need:

• Memory: (Minimum/Recommended) 4GB/8GB RAM
  


• Disk Space: 20GB
  


• Operating System: All versions of Microsoft Windows (Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012 R2)
  


• Softwares: Microsoft Excel 2003 and above
  

To solve runs using the TIMES Model Generator:

• Memory: (Minimum/Recommended) 16GB/64GB RAM
  


• Disk Space: 80GB
  


• CPU: (Minimum/Recommended) 2 cores: Dual Core/8 Cores: Octa Core

Thanks for listing the system requirements.

However, as the current maintainer of TIMES, I would say that to solve runs using the TIMES Model Generator, you will basically just need the input data files (the *.DD files) and the RUN file, which are usually produced by VEDA-FE, and GAMS on any of the core platforms of GAMS, i.e. Windows/Linux/Mac OS X. For the current GAMS systems, Windows can be Vista or newer, but older GAMS systems run well on WinXP as well. Microsoft Office is not needed for running TIMES.

For example, running TIMES on a Linux system has been quite thoroughly tested by the ETSAP partners. Consequently, TIMES can also be run on clustered computing environments such as Linux clusters that have GAMS installed.
