VEDA BE on Virtual Machine - Error 429

A user with VEDA BE on a virtual machine reported this error as soon as she tried importing results.

We simply registered DAO360.DLL manually and the issue was resolved (via gotomeeting).

• launch the command window (CMD in the RUN box on START menu)
• go to the (drive and) folder where VEDA BE is installed. For example:
• D: <Enter>
• cd VEDA\VEDA_BE <Enter>
• REGSVR32 DAO360.DLL

This should result in a "successful registration" message from windows...

i also faced this problem many times but  i fixed it, i also got some help from this article

I had the same error code 429 when starting up VEDA FE, using windows XP.

In the Command Window (Cmd) standing on c:\windows\system32 I used following commands:

REGSVR32 d:\veda\veda_fe\dao360.dll (was not sufficient)

REGSVR32 d:\veda\veda_fe\dcubepp.dll

REGSVR32 d:\veda\veda_fe\dsofile.dll

I don't know which of the two last did work.
