Basic question about modelling demand projections

I have a basic question regarding best practice to include the demand projections.

What is the argument for using the Dem_Alloc and ScenDem files as compared to using regular Scenario files? Is there a preferred choice from a Veda/TIMES perspective or is it a question of personal preference?

I prefer and recommend regular scenario files.

Dem_Alloc and ScenDem approach is rigid and not very transparent.
