Dear all,
I am trying to apply ETL to a process, but when I try to sinchronize the Scenario file where I defined the ETL parameters (e.g.progress ratio) VEDA FE pops up a message saying that this scenario has no data.
Here is how I defined parameters in my scenario:
Dopes anyone has any clue about what I am getting wrong?
Best,
Giulia

I tested an exactly similar TFM_INS table as yours with the DEMO model, and the table was imported well, and I can see the parameters in Browse → TIMES View. Of course I had to use a region that exists in the model (I used WEU). Are you sure you have the region REG1 in your model? At least in TIAM you don't ...

That was a stupid error, you are right! I started from an existing scenario file, without paying attention to the region specified.
Is it possible in TIMES to define ETL for one technology based on the capacity installed of another similar one? (a sort of "cumulative learning by doing")
Thanks,
Giulia

I am not sure what you mean. Endogenous technological learning (ETL) is named Learning-By-Doing (LBD) by some authors. TIMES supports ETL by in the form of Clustered learning, where several technologies use the same key technology (or component), which is itself subject to learning. The investment costs of a cluster of technologies can thus be defined to be dependent on the cumulative investments into the "key component" technology. See the documentation for details (my knowledge about the design of the TIMES implementation of ETL is limited to what is in the documentation):
Part I: Section 11.3 Clustered learning
Part II: Appendix C Endogenous Technological Learning (ETL)
