Changing BOTIME value
#1
Hi,
I would like to change BOTIME but it seems that VEDA_FE has a SET BOTIME 1964 (in my case) and it overwrites the set from the GAMS.
A command line $SET BOTIME 1964 is created just before the command $BATINCLUDE initsys.mod, however this is noty in the RUNFile_Tmpl.run
How can I modify this date?

PS: it seems in the TIMES_DEMO version BOTIME is 1970.

Thanks a lot.
Olivier.

I believe VEDA-FE sets the BOTIME value according to the earliest data year used in the model.
Therefore, you could adjust the BOTIME setting by defining any earlier "dummy" data point.

For example, by defining an NCAP_COST(1912)=X for any process would adjust the BOTIME to 1912 in the DEMO model.
Adjusting the BOTIME value to a later year is of course not possible with this method.

However, I don't actually see why you would need to change BOTIME. If your model does have some process vintages in very early years, then the BOTIME set by VEDA should already be fine. Maybe you could explain why you would need to override the BOTIME setting VEDA automatically generates?
