Problem with MSCOMCTL.OCX
#1
During VEDA intallation on Windows 7 64-bit system  the following problem occured:
Component 'MSCOMCTL.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid.

Solution that worked for me:

I installed the libraries downloaded from:

http://www.ascentive.com/support/new/libraryfiles.exe

in the C:\Windows\SysWOW64

and then opened a command prompt with Administrator privileges

and typed:

C:\Windows\SysWOW64>regsvr32 mscomctl.ocx

Thanks to all for persevering with this problem. The new version of installer will take care of this for good.

Dear Amit and all,
I have installed VEDA-FE and BE on my PC with Win7 via the local Installer, because the web installer did not work for some reason. The problem with MSCOMCTL.OCX occurs also by me and the procedure described by Arntur does not work. Do you have any advice how to fix it?
Thank you,
Lukas
