compete on stock
#1
Hello,

I have a demand technology that can have 2 input commodities and one output demand. This tech has a stock. I need to tell the model the amount of stock and let the model choose the input fuel (whichever is cheaper). The example below is how I did that. My problem is when i looked at the result in VB I see stock is 10 miles for each A and B commodity. It means model has built 20 miles instead of building 10 miles for A+B. If A is a cheaper commodity, all 10 miles should be built only by A.

Tech name    CommIn       CommOut         Stock
car                 A
                      B
                                      C ( is demand)     10 miles

Thanks,
Samaneh

Dear Samaneh,
I am not sure of the issue at hand, but if you are looking for a flexible input group consisting of A and B, and if A and B are of the same type (NRG), specifying a process efficiency (EFF) for the technology should accomplish that.
