Making annual vehicle sale constraint for different period length

Hi all,

I am curious if there is a way to limit annual vehicle sales and make it independent of time period length. So for example, I have the following UC on trucks sale:



In the main setup, we run the model with an annual resolution until 2050, which works perfectly. However, currently, for other purposes, the model should be run with a different time period structure. And when I switch to a smaller number of milestone years (with longer period length), the model needs higher limits on the RHS ( effectively multiplied by period length). But I need to do this manually or have a separate file for each period definitions.

So is there a way to define UCs' RHS with period length as a multiplier?

Have you read the documentation? I had thought it gives a direct answer to that question, no?

  ● UC_TIME(uc_n,r,datayear)
  ● Default i/e: STD
  ● Used in user constraints. Adds a time constant to the RHS side.
  ● Multiplier for the number of years in model periods (static UCs), or between milestone years (dynamic UCs).

Does it not work for your purpose?

Now it works properly. I was trying it previously, though I was also leaving UC_RHS with it. So without it, this works as it should be.

To be more precise (for the sake of other readers), UC constraints never work without UC_RHS* being specified.  But by specifying UC_RHSRT = 0 (in your case) one can ensure that the RHS constant will be fully dependent on UC_TIME only.
