Veda2.0 Released!

access for query postgresql database
#1
Dear veda developpers,

would it be possible to query the results directly in the postgresql database please ? Tools like Power Query or Power BI allows to directly connect with databases including postgresql. It is very useful because we can use features like embedded SQL query and the ability to save layout and only refresh when results change.

Working with pandas directly on database opens also new possibilities for complex graphs.

Thanks
Victor

I would work directly with the VD files (that are basically CSV files) or the GDX files if I had to do what you seem to be suggesting. Why do you feel the need to access the database for this?

Yes, working with the VD files is a possibility but it requires to do some preparation before exploring the results (merge VD, add scenario name as column). It seems to mee that veda does that already in the results part and automatically feeds the database when a case is completed. Moreover, veda has functionnalities to manage the storage of results with possibility to import/delete vd files. Having an access to the database would ease the file management.
