Early retirements
#1
Dear forum,

I am trying to implement early retirements of capacities of powerplants. So I set up certain RCAP_BND for these processes, switched on the "Retire" option in Run Manager and did not get any corresponding attribute in the results. Then I read in the manual that I have to define these early retirements in user input set prc_rcap.

I would like ask you, how I am supposed to do that? What sort of object practically is that prc_rcap? Is it enough do include something like PRC_RCAP in "FI_Process" table or create an entirely new table?

Thank you,
Lukas Novak

No, prc_rcap is not needed under VEDA.  So,  any RCAP_BND for the processes that should have early retirements enabled is sufficient. It works well in my models.

Hello Antti,

apparently it worked fine then, I found out that this DSCAUTO is really turned on. But my model managed to synchronize wrongfully for some reason and crashed instead of being solved. Hopefully it is all good now.

Once again, thank you Antti for help.
