RPT_OPT : CAP small value filter
#1
Dear all,

I have a question about the filter option that can be activated through the RPT_OPT parameter (section 3.11 in part II of the Documentation of the TIMES Model).

There is a possibility to filter out small process capacities by setting RPT_OPT('CAP','9')>0. However, are negative capacity values also filtered out, meaning that all early retired capacities would be filtered as well ? Or is the filter taking into account the absolute value of VAR_CAP ?

In case it is the first option, is there a way to filter out the absolute value of VAR_CAP ? (to preserve the reporting of early retired capacities)

Thanks a lot for your help.

It looks like you are using some old version of TIMES, aren't you?

Yes, with RPT_OPT('CAP','9') = <value>. Please upgrade to TIMES v4.7.0 and you should be fine.

Indeed, I updated TIMES and tried out the RPT_OPT parameter again and it worked perfectly !

Thank you Antti !
