When asking for VAR_NCAPR to know the levelized cost, why it does not appear in years where there is not new investment?
   
As you can see in the image those are the results i have, but if i want to know the LCOH in h2_pipe_bel (which is basically the export process) in 2050, where there is activity of 0.91 PJ, what i have to do?

The levelized cost of energy (LEC) measures the average net present cost of energy production over the lifetime of a production plant.  It is used for investment planning and to compare the economic competitiveness of different production technologies on a consistent basis.  Therefore, it is by definition associated with a capacity investment, and in TIMES these are identified by technology vintages. Consequently, Var_NCapR (LEC) is a vintage-specific cost measure, and is reported only for vintages having some new capacity installed.

If you have some activity for a process in 2050, but no new capacity, please look at the vintage index for that activity variable.  You can then look up the levelized cost for the capacity of that vintage. In general, there could be several technology vintages producing the commodity in a given period, and the levelized costs of each vintage may be different. In that case you could calculate an average levelized cost, by using the activities of each vintage as weights.

What is that vintage index?? Where can i find it?

Var_Act is a reporting attribute having the indexes (region, process, vintage, period, timeslice), plus Scenario.
If the process is vintaged, the vintage index directly gives you the process vintage.  However, for non-vintaged technologies the vintage index given in Var_Act is equal to the period index (sorry if that is the case for your process, I forgot to clarify that case).  And so, if the process is non-vintaged, then you need to find the vintage by looking at the Var_Ncap attribute, and check there when the capacity operating in 2050 was installed.

All the indexes of the reporting attributes can be seen in the VEDA result tables. In your screenshot you can see the handle on the Layout pane on the left side.

I do not understand well what to do if i want to know the LCOE in the year 2050 for example. I have done this vintage thing and add it on the results table, but it stills not show much

I don't see what is the value 0.1957653 shown in the box in your picture, can you explain what that represents?
Anyway, the Var_NcapR for 2050 is hidden behind that text box, isn't it?  At least you do have Var_Ncap for 2050 there, and so you should have Var_NcapR shown there as well, but it is hidden behind that box?

For which process?  I see activity in 2050 for H2_pipe_DE and H2_pipe_NO, and for both you have Var_NCapR reported, no? 
So, one can see the LEC values reported.

but i  an use that as a LCOE in 2050?

sorry, 2050 no since there is no activity, i mean 2045 for example. I want to know if i can use the values of LEC given in a year as LEC of future years ( when there is activity but no VAR_NCAPR stated)
