Veda2.0 Released!

Sensitivity analysis
#1
I want to carry out sensitivity analysis to one of the parameters in my model. There are a bit wide range of the parameter with 30-50 different data value. Yes, I can input the data one time one data, and run the model. My question is whether can I input the data as a batch, whether VEDA can make sensitivity analysis automoticly?

hi Sharon,

Did you find out how to do this in VEDA FE? I want to do something similar but am having trouble finding step by step examples of others who have done similar tradeoff/sensitivity analysis. Thank you!

This is a candidate for the new "parametric scenarios" functionality in VFE, which will be released soon. Description of this facility is attached.

hi Amit,

This is excellent news! I just read the pdf. Do you know how soon the new VFE functionality will be available?
As of now what do you think is the best way to do a series of a large number of runs (>10) with different taxes and caps for CO2 emissions? As of now I can manually edit the excel scenario file, change the tax from $10 to $20, resync, solve, and repeat. Is there a better way?

Thank you,

Mike

If you send me the files you are using for these scenarios, I can send you a composite version of these scenarios, along with a new version of FE for beta testing (via email). Tomorrow.

Amit,

Thank you for your reply. I emailed you the files just now. I want to start with a very basic model so that I am sure that I am doing it correctly.

Thank you,

Mike
