Problems with versions of Excel

I have converted all Excel files of my model from Excel 97-2003 to Excel 2010. I did so by opening the old files with Excel2010, chosing "save as" and selecting the new xlsx-format.

Now I have the problem, that some scenario files (not all) are not displayed anymore in the VEDA Navigator and thus cannot be imported.

What can I do? Thank you!

First of all, just to confirm, you must be using the absolutely latest version of VFE to use XLSX files.

XLSX support was added a few months ago but I have not used many files in this format in my own models. So, I cannot say for sure if all is working well or not.

Other users, please chime in if you have been using XLSX files.

Suggestions:

First of all, try a start from scratch. Knowing that you are migrating from version 3, you must have already tried this as one needed to do this quite often before version 4.

Else, send me the files that don't appear on the navigator.

We can also do a gotomeeting to diagnose this problem.

At the moment I am working with VFE version 4.3.42. Is this version already compatible with xlsx-files?

I tried to build a new VFE database from scratch, but the problem still exists.

I just noticed that some of the files appear in the navigator, if I save them under a different name. Additionally I noticed that if I create a new database, some of the missing files are displayed in the navigator and others are missing instead. So I don´t know if it helps, if I send you one of the problem files. Anyway, how can I send it to you? By email?

I also have a problem with the excel files...but a little less important...
When i save a scenario file and import it all the colors in it disappear. Even maintaining the file in the older excel version (97-2003).
I have the FE version 4.3.42 and the Excel 2010.
I know that is a secondary problem but the colors in the cells are very useful for me.
