Fixing initial periods

Hello,

In my group, we had been having problems running some scenarios when initial periods of runs were fixed. The problem was solved by doing following steps:  Create scenario in the case manager without fixing initial periods – save – fix initial periods – save/solve.  

I've decided to share here our solution in case anybody else is dealing with the same issue. However, we do not understand what is actually happening and we'll be very happy to hear any comment/suggestion.

2. Exactly what went wrong when you did not do the first step described above?
