No unit list
#1
Hello everyone,

In the 2.5.2.5 Creating a new tableEmissions(getting started TIMES VEDA materials), I could not selcet the unit when I pull-down the unit list. there was no any units(see the picture).

One thing need to be supplemented. the results was from the TIMES-Tutorial,and ran and solved the model with my computor. then imported the results in the VEDA-BE.

When I imported the results of other models there also have no unit to choose. could you tell me what is the matter?

Need your help. Thank you.

Erin

VBE does not import any units information along with the results. Units (and conversion factors) need to be created separately in VBE using the Tools - Units menu option.

You can import this file, using Tools-Units-Import Units option, to have a starting point for unit definitions (link given below).

Hello Erin,

Please follow the steps shown in given video....

After these steps if you still facing same issue then post you error log file from "VEDA \ VEDA_BE \ Logs" folder.

I see you are using older version, so first of all get latest version using "VTI_www_4.exe"
After update use this given debugging version to import units and post the error log file again

I am very confused. After I update the VEDA using the "VTI_www_4.exe", the version was still 4.8.75.

Your installer picture shown latest version VEDA_BE4884.zip.

Are you getting any error during 3 button "BE/FE Updates" processing?

Otherwise you have multiple installation of Veda on your computer.

If still confused then whenever you comfortable between 11am to 6pm (Indian Time) do this.

1. Download this very small file from http://www.ammyy.com/en/

2. Send me your ID at [email protected]

Column separator of Exported VBE Unit files may not recognized by some computers, So now Veda has changed  its column separator and this change effective starting version 488507.
