Font type bug
#1

Since I installted VEDA on a new laptop I'm having trouble with the font type in VEDA-FE boxes. The letters are to big to fit in the boxes of the GUI. The hardware and settings I have are:

  • screen resolution 1920x1080 (native)
  • Windows 7 64-bit
  • DPI scaling 100% (96 DPI)
I had a similar problem with a company developed program and that was fixed by changing the Font type. They explained to me that some windows XP font types do not translate correctly in windows 7 with large resolution screens.
I also discovered a work-around by setting the DPI scaling to 125%. It seems the letters don't change buth the boxes do get bigger so they fit again. Problem is that you can't get that much on your screen. (kinda beats the point of having a high resolution screen)
Anyone else has this problem? And knows a fix for it?
PS. I attached a .doc file with a print screen. As you can see it is not all letters which get displayed incorrectly but quite a few do.

I just found a solution for my problem.

It seems that at windows 7 install your DPI scaling should be at 100% instead of 125% like in my case. Problem solved by rewriting registry key's
