Don't see case results in VBE Import: ANSWER-MRKL

Here is an interaction I had with someone using VBE to view results out of ANSWER-MARKAL:

I'm trying to import MARKAL results into VEDA-BE, but for some reason I can't see the case results using the Import/Archive facility.  I have the relevant VD, VDE, VDT and VDS files from the ANSWER-MARKAL run in my C:\Answerv6\Gams_WrkPRD directory.  When I point VEDA-BE at this directory using the Import/Archive facility, I can't see the VD file for import.

 

Are you aware of any possible reason for this? 

 

I'm running ANSWER 6.4.1 and VEDA-BE 4.8.705.  I can see the VD files from the TIMES_DEMO no problem.

This is a case of differences in database structure. You are either mixing up MARKAL/TIMES VD files or stochastic/deterministic VD files. Try creating a new database (file-new database) rather than importing. This will create a new structure for your results files and you will be able to import subsequent runs in the new folder that you create via this route.
