Why is there no ENV in my communityset?
#1
Hello everyone,

I set ENV in the "Con ELC" of my model's VT table, but I couldn't find the ENV option in the commodityset of the results. This directly leads to my model being unable to output data on carbon emissions.

May I ask where the problem occurred? Welcome and thank you for your suggestions!

What parameters have you declared for the ENV commodities?

As far as I see, no attributes have been defined for the ENV commodities, and they are not in the RES topology.
TIMES does not include such commodities in the results (at least currently), because there is nothing to report for them, and so nothing to see.

So how can I define the ENV commodities? Why can't the model recognize ENV when I set it this way? From document part-IV I haven't found the answer.

See Figure 65 on page 58. ENV_ACT links the emission to the activity of a process. Defining the emission commodity is not sufficient.

I got it. Thanks for your reply!

I made modifications to my model according to the method shown in Figure 65 (as shown in the attached figure), but the ENV module is still not included in the running results. How can I solve this problem?

TIMES does include the commodity set ENV and its member commodities, and all the ENV commodity flows in the result reports, when the commodities are in the RES topology. Therefore, I think the problem you have must be a VEDA issue (possibly just some missing "refresh" is needed).  You could try closing and restarting VEDA, and see if you then see the ENV commodities shown?

I restarted VEDA and refreshed it. However, there is still no ENV option in the results section. I modeled it in the format of Demo, and I ran Demo12, which resulted in an ENV. I still don't know where the problem lies.
