Excel 2007 users may sometimes find the SYNC process frozen at a particular file for no visible reason. A verly likely cause is that the window shown below is open, but hidden under the other open windows.
If you are in this situation, hold ALT and click TAB; this will display the open windows; select Excel (click TAB repeatedly to scroll across) if it appears in the list.
If you see this window, uncheck the box on bottom left and click Continue.
