Hello,
I am trying to model the CHP units in my TIMES model with product flexibility. By product flexibility, I mean that it should be possible for the model to run the CHP in either Condensing mode or CHP mode depending on Electricity and Heat load.
To model the same, I am trying to model CHP unit with different efficiency parameters i.e.,
NCAP_CDME (Condensing mode Efficiency)
NCAP_BPME (Back Pressure Efficiency: Electricity + Heating Efficiency).
I am not really sure if I am modeling the process in the right manner. Because, the model does not choose the CHP as an option when modeling with the above mentioned process. However, it is the first option chosen when modelled with a fixed Power to Heat ratio.
I have also attached a screenshot of the modeled parameters. Please let me know if anyone has tried to model the CHP in such a manner before, and if I am using the right approach.
Any guidance of yours will be highly appreciated.
Kind Regards
Kushagra
