Cannot create New BE Database

Hi there,

I am having trouble generating a new database.  I get the following error after having selected File | New | Local and then choosing a stochastic results file.

This error has been reported on one other computer... we will investigate.

See if registering DAO360.dll helps:

• launch the command window (CMD in the RUN box on START menu)
• go to the (drive and) folder where VEDA BE is installed. For example:
  • D: <Enter>
  • cd VEDA\VEDA_BE <Enter>
• REGSVR32 DAO360.DLL

This should result in a "successful registration" message from windows...

do this when VEDA is closed

Thanks for the reply Amit.  I've tried to make new BE databases with both deterministic and stochastic results files as the seed, and receive the same error.

Hi Amit,

I followed your instructions to register dao360.dll (and needed to open the command prompt in Windows 7 'as an administrator' in order to successfully register it.

However, this does not seem to have solved the problem.

Please check the "VEDA\VEDA_BE" folder for another logs file, if you found upload that file also.

I am trying to find the error which you posted as picture, because your send log file did not shown that error that's why i am asking for another log file.

Did you still get the same error msg which you post as picture in current post or something else?

Will these all from "Veda\VEDA_BE\Logs" folder.

Please check in "VEDA\VEDA_BE" folder not in logs folder. (Means where VEDA_BE.exe exist)

For immediate relief, you can use these databases as a template for creating TIMES-Stochastic folders for VBE.

Here a debug exe to get more details about your error.

Download this zip file and unzip in "VEDA\VEDA_BE" folder. (Replace existing ConstructDB.exe)

After that try to create new database if error persist, send me the error log file from "VEDA\VEDA_BE" folder.
